Digital Broadcasting Ghost (Reflected Wave) Interference Countermeasure Solution
Countermeasures against reception interference caused by ghosts in medium electric field areas!
If you have any questions regarding the introduction below, please feel free to contact us. ◆◇◆Features◆◇◆ Spectrum measurements can be made over a wide bandwidth supporting 50 kHz to 3.3 GHz. Errors due to ghost (reflected wave) interference have been reported in medium field areas around urban centers. Even if the digital broadcast terminal level is between 40 to 50 dB, there may be instances where the tuner cannot receive the signal or block noise occurs. In such cases, it is necessary to implement countermeasures after confirming not only the general BER/MER but also the ripple drop intervals. By setting the span to 10 MHz during measurement and checking the C/N ratio, we can further narrow down the analysis and identify the points of interference based on the spectrum state during reception. Additionally, by using the full span function, it is possible to display the wideband spectrum from 50 kHz to 3.3 GHz on the same screen. This tool is optimal for identifying which frequency bands are experiencing multipath interference or if distortion is occurring due to booster interference.
